    Before Seton, I attended public schools in Gilbert.  I chose Seton because my older sister attended Seton and because I knew it was going to challenge me. I saw how much my sister grew and I wanted to experience that same growth, not only in athletics and academics, but also as a person.

    Second-half comebacks possible in academics

    Seton Catholic Prep Coach Karen Self and her nationally ranked girls’ basketball team are in the midst of another successful season. In addition to being a great coach, Self is also a respected teacher who has been recognized for her work in the classroom, including being named 2015 Teacher of the Year by the Arizona Council on Economic Education. A couple of years ago, AZSports and Lifestyle magazine printed her 10 tips to get students motivated for academic and athletic success. Even if your student’s first semester was less than stellar, this coaching legend can attest that anything is  possible in the second half.

    Track Star Takes Flight

    At the ’16 Track and Field Division III state finals, Luke Zuluaga and his relay teammates were in fifth place when he got the baton and “hit the turbo button for an unbelievable come-from-behind win,” as described by ESPN. Luke’s incredible speed burst captured the 4 x 100-meter relay crown, among other titles his senior year.
