Meet Ms. Birus

Ms. Marissa Birus is serving as the school’s honors and general chemistry teacher. Prior to joining Seton Catholic, Ms. Birus has worked as a research assistant at Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, PA, Microbiologist at LabCorp in Phoenix, AZ, Chemist/Lab manager at Eurofins Testing America in Phoenix, AZ, and a Chemist at Pure Labs in Phoenix, AZ. Ms. Birus pursued a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. She is now working towards her Masters of Science Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Saint Joseph online - Hartford, CT. She is planning to finish up her Masters degree by the end of May 2024. Marissa enjoys traveling, boating, and interior decorating in her spare time.
