What is Open House and when is it held?
Open House for 2008-09 is scheduled for Saturday, October 25. Seton
Open House provides students and their parents an opportunity to
explore Seton Catholic. Students and parents see academic
demonstrations and multiple displays - all reflecting the spirit of
Seton Catholic.
What is the tuition at SCHS?
Full tuition for 2008-2009 is $10,200 plus $ 420 registration fee.
Currently, active, participating Catholic student tuition is

more information. Books, uniforms and athletic fees are additional.

Does Seton Catholic provide bus transportation?
Bus transportation is not provided by Seton Catholic High School.
Seton has a north entrance and south exit as well as designated
student drop off areas for the convenience of parents. Student
parking permits are available for purchase.
Is there financial assistance?
Yes. Financial assistance is given based on need. Once a student is
offered admission to SCHS, they may request financial assistance.
Over half-million dollars were awarded to Seton students for the
current school year.
How old is Seton?
Seton Catholic High School was founded in 1954 by Fr. Patterson of
St. Mary’s Parish and the Sisters of Charity.
Do students wear uniforms?
Seton Catholic has an established uniform policy to maintain a
proper academic environment and to support the individual dignity of
each person’s character.
How many organizations and sports does SCHS offer?
There are 20+ extracurricular organizations and 16 sports.
Does SCHS have organizations for parents?
An actively involved parent is a true gift to Seton Catholic High
School. Parent/Guardian participation and involvement is one of the
key elements in the success of Catholic schools. Many of the
activities and events for students could not happen with out our
truly dedicated parent community. From the Seton Parent’s Club to
the Sentinel Booster Club to Library services to events and
technology committees, there is a place for every parent to become
involved.
How many alumni does Seton Catholic have?
Seton Catholic has a growing and vibrant Alumni community across the
world. A quarterly newsletter the “Sentinel Shield” is mailed to
all Seton Alumni Association members, on average 3,000+ newsletters
go out. Reunions and Seton Alumni Association events are held
regularly.
Do Seton students perform any community service?
Yes. Community service is an essential component of an education in
the charisms of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. One of the ways we at
Seton teach Gospel values is by being of service to the wider
community. Seton Catholic students participate in school-wide
projects (such as holding food drives to benefit the St. Mary’s Food
Bank), mission work (in Aqua Prieta, Mexico), extracurricular
service (club activities such as blood drives, toy drives, tutoring
and assisting at Paz de Cristo).
Is your lunch program similar to the one in elementary
schools?
We do provide a hot entree every day that may be purchased on a cash
basis. There are also a variety of sandwiches, salads, and snacks.
Also, many students "brown bag" it to school.
Is Seton Catholic High School a diocesan school?
Seton Catholic is a college preparatory school that is a Phoenix
Diocesan Catholic High School engaging in the student formation of
Strong Hearts, Strong Minds, and Strong Leaders.
The school accomplishes this by integrating theology as part of the
college-preparation curriculum for all Seton Catholic students.
